Dennis was born and raised in Roanoke. He began landscaping work with his brother, mowing lawns in between school years during the summer months. He started mowing when he was just 7 years old and quickly developed an affinity for plants.
After high school at Northside (and many summers mowing), Dennis decided to study turf management at the University of Tennessee. He gained valuable experience with the university, but the following year transferred to Ferrum College where he would also change his major. Following his heart, Dennis earned a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture from Ferrum in 2009. After graduating he began working as an excavator for a local construction company; obtaining his Class A CDL.
After three years grading and excavating Dennis began working at Roanoke Landscapes in the spring of 2012. Dennis was hired to lead the mowing division, but it was clear from the get-go that he could offer us so much more. He quickly moved into account management, using his extensive knowledge of plants, turf management and the area to provide quality solutions for our clients. Over the years Dennis has proved invaluable and now oversees our day-to-day Operations. He also manages our Commercial Accounts. In his free time, you can find Dennis either with his wife and baby boy or playing golf.
